Boat Diving Boards and Reasons Not to Go Camping

You were nice enough to invite your neighbor to go out boating with you. It was a success and your neighbor had a blast. Now, your neighbor wants to pay you back for your kindness by inviting you to go on a camping trip.

You politely declined.

You see, while there are many people who enjoy camping, there are a handful of people who hate it, despise camping in fact. There are people reading this right now and scratching their head because they can’t think of one good reason why camping stinks.

Each to their own, but if it is all the same to you, we would prefer to spend out weekends boating and not stuck in the woods getting eaten alive by bugs and possibly worse, like bears, for example.

Lillipad Marine, your source for boat diving boards, offer the reasons why camping stinks.

Never the Right Spot

How can one plot of dirt be any better than another one? People spend way too much time seeking out the perfect camping spot. Well, we have news for you: The perfect camping spot simply does not exist.

There is not a camping site to be found that will make sleeping on the ground any better. So stop spending hours hiking around the woods in search of an ideal camping spot.

Besides, should you happen to find a chunk of paradise on your journey, it will be filled with people soon enough.

No Thermostat

If you are too cold, there isn’t much you can do about it. If you are too hot, there isn’t much you can do about it. Basically, you are stuck with whatever temperature it happens to be and there is no thermostat that controls the outdoor temperature.

In all likelihood, your camping trip will consist of you getting hot during the day and freezing at night.

Can’t Stay Clean

If there is one thing that can be said about the rivers and streams that run through the woods where you camp, they are clean and cold.

Now, this is great when you are thirsty and want a drink of cold, refreshing water, but bathing in a river is something you never want to experience. Sure, it looks fun when watching a scene from a movie or television show, but in reality, it’s cold and miserable.

That said, when you go camping and get dirty, you either stay dirty or suffer the cold river bath.

Even if you have a solar shower setup, you will be dirty within an hour of taking a shower, so don’t even bother.

No Solitude

Many people think they enjoy camping because they get to be alone with nature. But this just isn’t the case.

We live in a very populated country full of people who like to go camping. Basically, with all of these people seeking solitude, you wind up with no way of escaping running into people while camping.

You Will Get Bored

After you set up camp, get the fire stoked and grill some food, you will get bored. Sitting in front of a roaring fire all evening is pretty neat for the first 10 or 15 minutes, but then you will get the urge to do something.

You will have a lot of spare time to kill when you go camping, so be prepared to do a lot of thumb-twiddling and napping.

Everything Can Go Wrong

There are so many things that can go wrong while on a camping trip. For one, you are basically at the mercy of the weather. If it starts to rain and doesn’t stop for a long time, you are going to be in a world of misery.

If you forget to bring a can opener, you better get creative right away and find the means to open that can of food.

It’s Uncomfortable

Let us tell you a few things about camping. Sleeping on the ground is uncomfortable. And doing your business in the woods isn’t a joy ride. Enough said.

Animals and Insects

You have probably read about campers getting attacked by bears, mountain lions, deer, moose and rattlesnakes. You have probably also read about insects biting and laying eggs in people’s ear holes.

If it is all the same, we prefer to spend our free time going boating. Order your boat diving board at Lillipad Marine today.
